Primary Curriculum 5yrs-12yrs

ProEducation continues its whole School Development apace, with the introduction of a new Primary Curriculum. Starting Term 4 (April 2018), the Primary Curriculum will see the introduction of student bands starting from ages 5 and 6. Small class sizes – maximum 10 students – with high teacher – student ratios ensures that all children are included and engaged in creative and targeted learning, which focuses on the needs of individual students. The Primary Curriculum in partnership with EdExcell UK offers a wide range of new materials and resources for early years at ProEd’s unique school facilities in the heart of Umalas. The development of the new Primary learning bands leads the progression of the new school facilities and curriculum, which serves students up to Grade 12.

Alongside the school curriculum ProEducation also offers dedicated services to learners between grade 1 and 12, focusing on Specialist Learning Support, Differentiated Teaching and Positive approaches to education, giving ProEducation School the leading edge in education.

Grades 1 and 2 (ages 5-6)

Grades 3 and 4 (ages 7-8)

ProEducation Plus Junior

ProEducation Plus Junior is a specialized Program for Primary School aged children with additional academic, personal, social, emotional or physical learning needs. The Plus Junior Program is split into two levels of curriculum; Towards Independence Junior and Plus Junior, both providing an alternative study pathway that allows students to develop essential educational skills and essential life skills in a safe and supportive environment. Each student will be individually assessed on entry to the Plus Junior Program to ascertain learning levels, behavioural challenges and the requirement of any or all Specialist supports.

Assessment outcomes will then directly inform the student’s Individual Education Plan; a document used by all Teachers and Specialists at ProEducation to develop coursework and curriculum plans that ensure the specific needs of each student are addressed.

ProEducation Plus Junior combines British curriculum courses accredited by ASDAN and Oxford and reflects the commitment by ProEducation Plus to develop high quality and current practice teaching and learning approaches. Plus Junior has been designed to encourage young learners to reach their full potential through access to traditional Oxford academic subjects of Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Humanities, Art, Indonesian and Sport/Fitness; and to the contemporary ASDAN academic subjects of Stepping Stones, Key Steps and Lift Off, which focus on essential life skills and social skills. Led by internationally qualified and experienced teachers, the ProEducation Plus team will engage Plus Junior students in a high quality modern environment with access to a range of technology and multi-sensory resources, as well as a Library and IT Resource Centre. The team of Specialists and Therapy offered, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Counseling is also provided to students throughout the school day and in a one-on-one setting.
