ProEducation Services

Specialist Private Tutoring

ProEducation offers a range of private tutoring lessons in a variety of subject areas specific to the learning needs of each student. Our teachers liaise with classroom teachers to target specific learning concerns in order to help students develop their skills for ongoing success.

Each session is 50 minutes in length and is carried out in our supportive and well-resourced learning environment. After enrolment and interview each student at ProEd receives an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) or goal setting sheet is complete, outlining the focus of the student’s learning aims for the time they are at ProEd. Teachers and parents work together with ProEd to achieve the learning outcomes.

Students receive observation reports twice a year to help demonstrate their progress and highlight areas to work towards for the future.

Starter Pack

A Starter Pack is an assessment conducted by a teacher to measure the child’s learning strengths and areas to develop further. Students benefit from having this assessment so that the tutor knows what focus the lessons will have. A student generally is assessed in the area of Numeracy and Literacy.

Teacher tools are used in this assessment and a report is written so that parents have the information for the future. During the Starter Pack process the tutor will work with the child’s school teacher gathering further information to ensure a collaborative approach and all aspects of their learning have been considered. After the assessment and once the report is written the parents and tutor will meet and discuss the findings. Finally, an Individual Education Plan or Goals Information Sheet will be written for the child’s ongoing lessons at ProEducation.

Specialist Group Tutoring

If we have sufficient numbers we can arrange group tutoring sessions offering parents a discounted professional service. Group sessions are limited to a maximum of four students in each class. In these group sessions students can also work on individual learning programs or homework set by classroom teachers. ProEducation caters from ages 5 and above. Please check our timetable for times and days of group tutoring sessions, or alternatively call or email the centre to secure a place.

Drop In Service – Homework Club

The ‘Drop In’ option is available for students who need a quiet and supportive environment to complete their homework or projects and do not need a scheduled lesson. Students are able to come into ProEducation after school on any day and utilise the facilities. The drop in service is available from 2.30pm – 6.30pm weekdays and between 8.00am – 4.00pm Saturday.

If students need to ask questions about their work, a teacher on duty will be available to help. There is no limit on how often students wish to come into the centre and the service is available for a set fee per month. Please see the fee section for further information.

Daytime Block 5-12 years

This service is perfect for families who need a more FLEXIBLE education option for their children age 5-12 years. Daytime Block operates Monday- Friday from 10:15am-2:15am. Our teachers provide individual work-packs for students to work on in a classroom setting. Each child is initially assessed using NAPLAN tests and receives Individual Learning Goals outlining the focus of the student’s learning while at ProEducation. Students can take their learning packs home to continue their studies. Classes are small and students benefit from the 1-on-1 teacher time presented by a professional national teacher. Subjects covered include Core Literacy and Numeracy, Science and Humanities, among other choices. Online learning programs such as Literacy Planet, Reading Eggs and Sunshine Online are used in the class to ensure a professional modern teaching approach. This is a fantastic service for students in between schools or students who are on school waiting lists.

Language Tuition

ProEducation provides professional language tuition in English, French, German and Indonesian. Students can take personal tuition lessons with the teacher, or engage in group training sessions if available. Language classes are designed around the needs of the student. An Individual Learning Programme (ILP) will be designed for each student, prior to the course starting, outlining the level and course topics. The language course and tuition services are personalised, practical and engaging, helping students to learn with confidence.
